God's Timing

Recently, "Suddenly" by Superchick came on my Ipod, and these lyrics struck me:
And suddenly it isn't what it used to be
And after all this time it worked out just fine
And suddenly I am where I'm supposed to be

They struck me because of everything that has happened in the last couple of weeks. God has really shown me that everything happens in His time, and not according to what I want or when I want it. I have felt that God has closed a lot of doors for me in the last couple of months. Doors that I really wanted open, but those seemed to be shut and locked. I didn't really know why, and sometimes got frustrated, as I didn't know where I was going or what I was doing with my life. I am now at a point, when I can look back and see God working for His perfect plan. Lining things up for me, when I couldn't even see Him working.

Back in January, one of my parents friends, said she would ask her boss if she needed anyone for the tax season. The next day, her boss called me and offered me a job. I will admit, that it would not have been my first choice, as it was only part time for the tax season, and it was a small business - just the owner and two other people. No advancement opportunities, so I continued to look elsewhere, hoping for a full time offer. But that offer never came - God continued to close door after door.

Near the end of February I started working, a couple days a week. Then, my parents and the family friends (who got me the job) were on vacation. Near the end of the week, the husband of the lady who got my the job had a very serious and critical accident. My part time job, became a full time job, as I have taken over her job. "And suddenly I am where I'm supposed to be." It is amazing how God knows exactly what we need and when we need it.
