You may be asking yourself, what do all these numbers mean?? Well, that is the number of shirts that were ordered for camps this summer. Guess who got to sort them and fill orders?? You’re right. I did...well myself and Joel (another intern who just started a couple of weeks ago). We also did it in record time. Last year, it took two people a day and a half. This year, it was about a day – although it was split up over a couple of days.
What happened was the printers didn’t always centre the soccer ball on the back of the shirt, so we had to go through all the shirts to see if they were acceptable, or if it was too off centre that we couldn’t use it. We did that for a couple hours Wednesday afternoon. Thursday we had to go and pick up a couple more hundred shirts...and sort through them. We started filling orders Thursday afternoon, although we were still missing two sizes, so not all the orders could be completely filled. Friday morning we didn’t work on the shirts, as the two sizes hadn’t come in and I had to pick up some marketing materials in Abbotsford and finish up a couple of other things. During lunch the last couple hundred were dropped off, so after that we quickly went through them and we were able to finish up all the orders. We were done all 47 orders of 70+ t-shirts with an hour left of work. Record time.
