Weekend with the Puppies

This past weekend, it was just me and the puppies - everyone else went to Ontario cause Ade desperately wanted them at her grad ;) While they were gone the puppies and I had a nice relaxing time. First I had to read about dogs giving birth, just in case Shayla decided to have her puppies this weekend. Did you know that dogs start giving birth at 10 pm, and it can take all night for all the puppies to be born? Yeah, when I read that I was really hoping that it didn't happen this weekend; I wanted my sleep and I didn't want to deal with the whole birthing process by myself. Lucky for me there was no puppies born this weekend.

The puppies slept in my room (a first since I've only had outside dogs). The first night they were good and slept in their bed on the floor until the morning - then they came and joined me. As the weekend went on, they grew braver and braver. The second night, they jumped on the bed at around 2. Shayla found the perfect spot and cuddled up close for the night. Last night, they jumped up on the bed even before the lights were out - and then they took up half of it all night!
